The Challenge
How do you set a 301 redirect to more than 10,000 products?
Migration from an old site to a new one is always challenging for every developer, no matter how experienced they are.
If you want “the job done” without losing value during the migration, then your every move must be perfectly calculated.
The biggest challenge in this particular project was the creation of a functional and fresh eyewear ecommerce site that would retain its original value – until we added more!
At the same time, it had to check every box in terms of design, speed and overall user experience.
Methodology
Modern design, trouble-free user experience and fast loading speed were just few of the requirements the new site had to meet.
To achieve this, we relied on the methodology we always follow at 3ds: The SEO team defines structure and finalizes the URL mapping, the Design team creates the wireframes and mockups so that the client can see what their ecommerce site will look like, and the Development team relies on these wireframes to bring a fully operational site to life!
Once the ERP is integrated, we are ready to go live!
